Anthology on Spanish far-right
On-going
"Anthology on Spanish far-right" is a visual document on far-right and right-wing mindsets in Spain throught the lens of historical memory, myths, banal nationalism, traditional values, media, etc.

I have travelled around Spain to document how these far-right and right-wing ideas manifest themselves in different ways: the cult towards the old empire; Ultra-Catholics; nostalgics for the Franco regime; historical revisionism; military boot camps that roots minors discipline and nationalism; disinformation actors and their consumers; the new far-right and their schools of thought.

These manifestations are not mutually exclusive, they can be connected, during my work I have seen people present in Francoist events in Madrid attending VOX meetings in Barcelona, a flag of the Spanish Tercios can be seen in far-right protest in Madrid and in historical reenactments in Sevilla while teaching nationalistic myths on the Spanish Empire, these teachings can be also instructed to minors attending a boot camp in Valencia, etc.

The work aims to document a Spain that I feel completely alien, a Spain based on nationalism, nativism and exclusive ideas, a Spain that can manifest everywhere and of which anyone can be susceptible: from middle age man with nostalgia from the Franco regime, to a 15 year old drawn in by symbols or worried on the alleged increase in crime.
